LaFlamme began her career in 1988 as a replica writer and script assistant at CTV’s Kitchener affiliate CKCO. In 1997, she transitioned to become an anchor. Between 2001 and 2003, he worked as a co-host on Canada AM, as a parliamentary reporter, and on CTV NEWSNET, now CTV News Channel.

In March 2014, LaFlamme received a Canadian Awning Award for ‘Best National Newscast’ and ‘Best News Anchor’ for her work with CTV National News. In 2016, she was appointed an affiliate of the Order of Ontario. Lisa was appointed a Candidate for the Order of Canada in 2019.
